Baltic Sea Coast

Baltic Sea Coast destination image

The German Baltic coast is a holiday destination with a large number of exciting cities. The area has many historic towns and sights and here you can learn a lot about the old Danish-German relations. Whether you are looking for a wellness break, an active, a beach or a family holiday or a weekend break for two, you will find it on the beautiful Baltic coast and at Risskov we have a wide selection of hotels.

The Baltic coast is home to many of the famous Hanseatic cities, such as Lübeck, Rostock and Kiel. There are good shopping opportunities in the old trading towns, as well as good beaches and restaurants in the towns along the coast. The coast is easy to reach by ferry and across the border, the proximity of Denmark also shapes North German history.

Along the Baltic coast are historic seaside resorts that have served as spa destinations for centuries. On the Ostseeküstenraadweg cycle route, you can ride along the sea and discover many of the old towns. Also visit Hansa-Park, a large amusement park near Lübeck, and the great Renaissance castle in Schwerin. The old towns of Wismar and Stralsund date back to the Middle Ages and are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Experiences await on the coast of northern Germany.
