Varzi

Varzi is the largest town in the Oltrepo area and is sometimes called the capital of salami. Buen is known for its traditional production of genuine salami, which is air-dried and aged between 3 and 6 months.

For those interested in history, Italy is the perfect destination with its food culture, ancient monuments and diversity of churches and cathedrals from different architectural periods.

Torre di Porta Soprana in Varzi is a tower in the town from which you can enjoy a wonderful view. La Chiesa dei Cappuccini is also an interesting excursion in the same town.

A day trip away you can visit the ancient medieval town of Torre dei Malaspina, and 6 km from Varzi you'll find the Tempio della Fraternità, meaning the temple created by the human community that came into being during World War II.

From Verzi it is also not far to other interesting places, such as Menconico, the home of the truffle.
