The arboretum in Lunde

Find a cheap holiday to Norway at Risskov and visit the north side of Sognefjorden in Balestrand, where the beautiful arboretum in Lunde is located. This garden was founded by priest Jacob Sverdrup in the 1880s and is housed in the former vicarage garden. Today the garden contains about 130 different species of trees and shrubs from all over the world. This is a beautiful place to wander around and admire the beautiful grounds. Down by the water there is a bathing and barbecue area. The site has a car park with toilets. If you want to combine this visit with local crafts, you can visit the local enamel workshop.
