Rocca Pietore

Rocca Pietore is a peaceful oasis of a village in the heart of the Dolomites. Idyllically situated at the foot of the Marmolada mountain, it is a wonderful destination offering nature, culture and plenty of historical sights.

The town is named after a tower that once stood on the main square next to the church. One of the most interesting sights is the beautiful Gothic church, Santa Maria Maddalena, which was built way back in 1442. Inside, you can see a work of art of an altar from 1517 and a tabernacle from the 17th century. Both the church and many other buildings in the city bear witness to the traditions and heritage of both the time and the region.

When you are on holiday in the Dolomites, Rocca Pietore

definitely worth a visit!
