Industrial Museum Brandenburg a.d. Havel

The Museum of Industry in Brandenburg a.d. Havel is housed in the former steelworks, which was founded in May 1914.

Here, among other things, weapons were produced and the city of Brandenburg a.d. Havel was therefore subjected to many bombardments during the Second World War. In the 1970s, Brandenburg was the largest producer of crude steel in the former GDR, employing more than 10,000 people. The museum presents the history of the cultural and social life of the industrial workplace over time. Guided tours are available and the museum is a great idea for a self-drive holiday for those interested in Germany's industrial history.
