Cecima and San Ponzo Semola

On a day trip by car you can drive around the province of Pavia and visit the small town of Cecima. The region is known for its diverse wine production and its ancient castles, towers and fortresses from the Middle Ages.

Cecima is a typical Italian town located just north of the town of Varzi. The Church of St. Martino Vescovo is a national monument with its breathtaking terracotta windows dating back more than 1000 years.

From Cecima, it's not far to Ponzo Semola, where you can explore the ruins of ancient Roman buildings.
