Beautiful nature and cultural and historical experiences on a self-drive holiday to West Jutland
From the roaring sea of the West Coast to the beautiful landscape of Ringkøbing Fjord to seal safaris on Fanoe and migratory birds over the Wadden Sea, West Jutland's fresh, and sometimes rugged nature, offers a wealth of exciting experiences. In the beautiful hilly landscape of the Limfjord you will find beautiful nature, quiet beaches and the old town of Lemvig. Lemvig Museum gives a good impression of the area's history and culture and is definitely worth a visit.
The beautiful west coast, with its wide sandy beaches, endless dunes and roaring sea, invites you to both exciting activities like windsurfing and long pleasant walks in the sunset. Ringkøbing is one of Denmark's oldest and most well-preserved market towns, and also one of the most beautiful, with many old red-brick houses and cobbled streets surrounded by the beautiful landscape of Ringkøbing Fjord. Here you will find many cosy streets and shops.
Further south, you can also pass the port city of Esbjerg and the three beautiful Wadden Sea islands of Rømø, Fanø and Mandø.
