About the hotel
Villa Långbers is beautifully situated on a hill with a stunning view of the Siljan Strait. The hotel is an old doctor's house converted into a hotel, which contributes to a charming atmosphere. The rooms are spread between several buildings. You'll find beautiful surroundings perfect for exploring on foot or by bike, and you're less than an hour's drive away from many of the area's great resorts and attractions.
About the hotel
Villa Långbers is named after sisters Elsa and Wilma Långbers who, after a time in the US, moved back to their homeland in 1936 and started a boarding house in the surroundings of which they believed was "the most beautiful place on earth". Villa Långbers has had several famous guests, perhaps the most famous being Astrid Lindgren who wrote her famous political saga of "Pomperipossa" at Långbers, and of course the King of Sweden who visited here with his mother and one of his sisters back in 1950 when he was known as "the Prince".
Restaurant Villa Långbers serves a seasonal menu with many local ingredients, mixing traditional Swedish dishes with an international twist. From the cosy restaurant, you have a fantastic view of Lake Siljan. Watching the sun set from here is something special. The restaurant can seat up to 100 guests and also has a lovely large veranda. The restaurant also serves breakfast every morning.
The hotel has a gym, a sauna and offers massages for a fee. You can also rent bicycles to explore the beautiful surroundings of Tällberg from the saddle.
The hotel offers free internet and parking.
