The hotel is near Slitu, just off the E18 and around five kilometers from Mysen, with small towns, woodland walks and historic sights within reach. Inside, the style is contemporary, with plenty of space to sit and spend time together.

Breakfast is served as a buffet, and the restaurant uses local ingredients in its cooking. Lunch and dinner are available Monday through Saturday. The lobby bar is a pleasant spot for a drink when you return from a day out, while the terrace gives you somewhere to sit outside in summer.

Things to see and do

Nearby Mysen is worth a visit for its cafés and Høytorp Fortress, where woodland paths lead to views across inner Østfold. For a longer walk, you can follow a route from the fortress through the town center and along the Mysen River.

In Ørje, you can explore the historic locks and visit the Halden Canal Museum. Summer brings the chance to sit at the café by the locks or take a seasonal boat trip along the canal. If you prefer to explore on foot, the trail to the old forts offers views over the town and waterway.

Østfoldbadet in Askim, around ten minutes away by car, is a good option for a family outing. Momarken harness racing track is also nearby if you would like to catch a race. For a full day out, visit Fredriksten Fortress in Halden or drive to Oslo, approximately 45 minutes from the hotel.
