If you dream of exploring the Norwegian countryside, Hotel Frich's Alvdal is the ideal choice. With its convenient location down the valley, the hotel is the perfect starting point for exploring the rich and impressive Norwegian nature. The area has an exciting history and great outdoor activities.
About the hotel
With the hotel's central location in the village, you have the opportunity to experience nature and the mountains by bike or car. There are also opportunities for beautiful drives in the mountains, including Tronfjellet. If the surroundings seem familiar, it is because the valley was the starting point for the movie The Pinchcliffe Grand Prix.
The hotel has undergone a major renovation, and invites you with bright rooms, modern rooms and the beautiful winter garden. Your stay at the hotel also includes breakfast and dinner, which you can enjoy in the restaurant, in the winter garden or on the terrace in the summer.
The hotel staff is always ready to help you plan your cycling, hiking or driving tour of the countryside. Just a 45-minute drive from the hotel you will find Dølmotunet, a family park with animals and activities for children.
Rooms
The hotel has four room types. The rooms have a private bathroom with toilet and shower. The room has carpeted floors. The double rooms are designed to be user-friendly for people with functional impairments/disabilities.Reviews

Everything was very good
It was a nice experience.
A simple but very good accommodation
When we arrived, the staff knew nothing about the stay including dinner and breakfast. It was almost uncomfortable. More information should be provided to those working at the place.
Nice place
Close to the beautiful Rondane National Park.
Good breakfast.
Clean and tidy hotel.
Friendly service, good breakfast and dinner. We stayed there for two nights and had a nice stay. I see some complaints about the food, but there is absolutely no reason for that. 👍😊
Very nice place to stay for a couple of nights
Well received, good food, nice clean rooms and friendly service.
Frichs hotel is clean and the food is good. The location to Aukrusthuset is perfect and it takes 4 minutes to walk.
Very good, nothing to complain about.
