The small village of Ål lies between the mountains at the northern end of Hallingdal in Eastern Norway. Here you can cycle on some of Norway's best trails, hike in the mountains, sunbathe by a mountain lake, or bring the fishing rod and find a quiet place.
In the village of Leveld in Ål municipality, you can experience art exhibitions in the open air all year round. While you are visiting, you can also taste pastries and cakes at Leveld Lefsebakeri, which serves quality goods based on local culture and craftsmanship. A little further up the mountain you will find the Bergsjø area, where you can go cross-country skiing in the winter and go canoeing in the summer.
