Book a hiking holiday with Risskov and look forward to fresh air, scenic trails and a comfortable hotel at the end of the day. Explore hotel packages at attractive prices and plan a car trip with time to stop along the way. From coastal walks to mountain hikes, there’s plenty to discover. Risskov – Always more.
A good day’s hiking leaves you with plenty to remember: the view across a lake, the smell of the forest after rain, or a picnic spot you would happily have stayed at all afternoon. Exploring on foot gives you time to notice these things, with room for conversation and stops whenever something catches your eye.
You can make walking as much a part of your holiday as you like. Spend a morning following a coastal path before lunch in a nearby village, or pack a rucksack for a full day in the hills. Staying at the same hotel for a few nights lets you explore different routes without having to pack up each morning.
Risskov offers hotel stays in many areas that are wonderful to explore on foot. Denmark’s Thy National Park and Germany’s Harz Mountains are just two examples, with dunes, heathland and woodland trails to discover. In southern Sweden, Kullaberg’s rocky coastline is well worth exploring. Follow a stretch of the Kullaleden trail and leave time to visit the fishing villages of Mölle or Arild.
For an Alpine holiday, Austria’s Achensee region has lakeside walks and mountain trails in the Karwendel and Rofan ranges, with options for different levels of experience. In Norway, the area around Geilo offers mountain walks and access to the wide, open landscapes of Hardangervidda. Bring a picnic and take your time enjoying the views.
Further south, Italy’s Lake Garda offers trails in the surrounding hills and mountains, with views across the water. A walk followed by lunch in a lakeside town makes a lovely holiday combination. These are just a few of the places you can discover on a hiking holiday with Risskov.
Part of the pleasure comes afterwards: taking off your boots, sitting down with a drink and deciding where tomorrow might take you. Browse our hotel packages in areas suited to hiking and find a base for a few days outdoors, whether you prefer gentle walks or a more demanding route.
