Verdon Gorges

The Verdon Gorges, often called the “Grand Canyon of Europe,” is one of France’s most spectacular natural wonders. Carved by the turquoise Verdon River, the gorge stretches for 25 km with cliffs that soar up to 700 meters high. Visitors can hike along panoramic trails like Sentier Blanc-Martel, paddle through calm waters in a rented kayak, or take in the views from the scenic Corniche Sublime drive.
