Traunsee
Traunsee is Austria's deepest lake. It is located in the Salzkammergut lake district in Upper Austria and is the second largest lake in Austria after Attersee. The lake is an alpine bathing lake with good water quality, the average water temperature in August being around 20 degrees. Here you can relax and enjoy your holiday in peace and quiet. The area around the lake is characterised by the mirror-clear lakes, the high mountains and the beautiful castles. It's like something out of a fairytale.
