Sylt Aquarium

Located in the southern town of Westerland, Sylt Aquarium is a zoo specialising in fish from the North Sea, as well as tropical fish from the coral reefs. Inaugurated in 2004, the aquarium is located directly on the dunes and receives its water by a direct pipeline from the North Sea. The aquarium offers 25 saltwater tanks with around 2,000 fish. Take a walk through the glass tunnel laid underwater in one of the large tanks and see the fish swimming around you.
