Stendal Zoo

Take a walk in the Hanseatic city of Stendal's zoo. The zoo has been in existence since 1934 and was actually bombed by the Americans in 1944, after which reconstruction work only began in 1952. Today, the zoo houses over 460 animals of 75 different species in an approximately 6 hectare facility. Here you can see everything from tigers to snakes and enjoy the lovely grounds.
