Old Uppsala

It's really worth taking the time to visit Gamla Uppsala, one of Scandinavia's strangest archaeological sites. Take a look at one of the three majestic royal burial mounds - Uppsala Högar - from the 500s, or at one of the largest burial grounds in Scandinavia and the remains of the cathedral, which was built in the 12th century.

The place is mythical and has become famous abroad in recent years because of the TV series "Vikings". Take the opportunity to learn more about how it all happened back then.
