Manarola

Manarola is the second smallest of the five villages that make up the famous Cinque Terre National Park area in Liguria. It is also one of the oldest towns in the area and is beautifully situated at more than 70 metres above sea level. However, the altitude varies a lot as you walk around the town, with streets winding and twisting between buildings.

Manarola has a very special atmosphere and is characterised by picturesque and extremely colourful houses and charming narrow streets. The town square is home to several cosy shops and restaurants, and if you like seafood, there are many good and varied options.

There are several things to see such as the beautiful San Lorenzo church located in the highest part of the city. The bell tower used to be a lookout to spot pirates. There are also several good viewpoints in the town, which are closer to the water, and just outside the town to the south you will find a natural area ideal for walking.
