Mackmyra whiskey village is situated near GĂ€vle. At Mackmyra, they always strive to produce their whisky in the most modern, efficient and environmentally friendly way possible. The world's most climate-friendly distillery - completed in 2011 was built here. The gravity distillery is a 35-metre high building where the production process is carried out with the help of gravity. If you are interested in whisky making you can participate in a guided tour in the distillery and experience a whisky or a gin tasting. Also if you are hungry, you can have a meal in the restaurant.
