This well-maintained medieval ruin stands beautifully enthroned above the town of Breno below. Here you'll enjoy stunning views of the mountainous landscape, some fascinating Italian history and, adjacent to the castle, a café/restaurant where you can enjoy lunch or coffee. The castle is just a small part of the story. In fact, archaeological investigations carried out in the 1980s revealed that the very hill it sits on is itself a piece of truly impressive history, with some traces dating back to prehistoric times!
