Bueren Mountain

Visit Liège's most famous landmark, the Montagne de Bueren - a wide staircase with 374 steps and a 30% slope, built back in 1881. Created in honour and memory of 600 soldiers who lost their lives in an attack from Burgundy in the mid-1500s, the staircase is adorned with flowers every June and marked with candles in October, making for a stunning sight after sunset.

When you reach the top, you are rewarded with an absolutely stunning panoramic view of the city below and the surrounding countryside.
