Almelo

Almelo is one of the three major cities of the Twente region and is located in the middle of the region's hilly landscape. The city has existed since 1236 and therefore also offers many historical buildings and museums. In the middle of the city is a castle called Huize Almelo, which was built in 1662 and is still inhabited today. It is therefore not possible to enter and see the castle from the inside, but from the outside it is certainly worth a visit. In addition to the castle and museums, the city also offers great shopping opportunities and various cultural experiences.
