Aguntum

Go on a self-drive holiday to Tyrol with the whole family and visit the ancient monuments in the village of Aguntum. Built by the Romans just outside Lienz in the Drau Valley in East Tyrol, the town is said to have been built to exploit local sources of iron, zinc, copper and gold. In addition to the interesting ancient monuments, the area also houses a small museum containing artefacts found at the excavations.
