Ydalir Hotel

Ydalir Hotel is located close to Stavanger city center, and is named after the winter and hunting god Ulls' hometown Ydalir. The hotel offers a delicious breakfast, comfortable, bright rooms and is centrally located for sights and experiences in Stavanger and the surrounding area. 

About the hotel

When you book a stay at the social enterprise Ydalir Hotel, you automatically support the University of Stavanger's various faculties. All profits go to the university, and the hotel is run by a dedicated, friendly staff. 

Start the day well with the delicious breakfast buffet, featuring high-quality local produce. Active guests can access fitness at a reduced rate at SIS Sports Center, a popular gym nearby. Please ask at reception. 

Outside the hotel, exciting activities and sights await you. The "Sword in the Mountain" memorial, erected to commemorate the Battle of Hafrsfjord, can be visited after a short drive. A visit to Preikestolen, or Pulpit, is also highly recommended. The large rock formation rises 604 meters above the Lysefjord and offers stunning views. 

It's also a short walk to Solastranden, a popular 2.3 kilometer long sandy beach where you can swim and surf. Stavanger city center is also close to the hotel and offers a wide range of cultural experiences, such as beautiful wooden houses, museums and festivals.

Rooms

The hotel's 47 modern, bright rooms are decorated with parquet floors and large ceiling-to-floor windows. All rooms have a private bathroom with shower and free Wi-Fi. The room is equipped with a desk and chair, armchair, wardrobe and large mirror, bedside table, reading lamp, and 40" TV. There are also blackout curtains and ventilation to ensure a good night's sleep.
