About the hotel

This pretty hotel is set in idyllic surroundings, in the middle of the beautiful Norwegian fortress town of Kongsvinger, through which the River Glomma flows. Here you have a central location and at the same time a short distance to the Norwegian wilderness and beautiful nature. The hotel is located approximately 100 km northeast of Oslo and only 40 km from the Swedish border.

The hotel's beautiful wellness area offers relaxation and well-being, with an indoor swimming pool and sauna, as well as a range of spa and massage treatments. Guests have free access to the area, which is open every day from 07:00 to 23:00.

As well as being a great base for wellness breaks in Norway, the hotel is also a great base for active holidays and golfing. Kongsvinger Golfklubb is just 10 minutes from the hotel and has been voted Norway's best golf course by the World Golf Awards for four consecutive years. You will also find several other clubs within an hour's drive, so there are plenty of exciting new courses to discover in the area.

Vinger Hotell is a child-friendly hotel and during the summer months (22.06. - 15.08.) children can have fun in the hotel's indoor playroom.

You'll get a good start to the day with a full and tasty breakfast in one of the hotel's two different restaurants; Restaurant Grillhaven. Later in the day you can also enjoy snacks and delicious dishes in a warm and informal atmosphere.

The hotel's second restaurant is called 'Generalen' and is an intimate little eatery with an exciting menu of exquisite evening dishes, enjoyed in elegant surroundings.

Breakfast is served weekdays from 06.30 - 09.30 and weekends and holidays from 08.00 - 11.00, and the restaurant is open for dinner Monday - Saturday from 18.00 - 21.30.

Vinger Hotell has 81 delightful rooms, all designed with comfort and a good night's sleep in mind. All rooms are equipped with private bath and toilet, TV, minibar and telephone. A hairdryer can also be borrowed from reception.
