Townhouse Wismar

The Hanseatic city of Wismar and the Baltic Sea: the perfect combination for a short break by the sea. Book the Townhouse Wismar and enjoy Hanseatic with short distances to the beach.

The hotel

The Townhouse Wismar is a modern hotel in the heart of the Hanseatic city: right on the market square, which together with the entire old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The lobby, rooms, library, breakfast room and Restaurant Joseph have been furnished with great attention to design. The restaurant is also special. Austrian specialties are served here, a delicious contrast to the maritime character of the city and the region.

After a rich breakfast, you can discover Wismar with its renovated town houses, which together form one of the best-preserved medieval town centers in Germany. Whether it's the World Heritage House, the famous “Alter Schwede” building, the monumental churches or the Water Art, the Hanseatic city has a lot to offer with charming cafés and cute stores with all kinds of maritime items, from decorations to clothes.

Wismar is situated in the Bay of Wismar rather than directly on the open sea. However, guests who enjoy swimming can reach the beach in just a few minutes by car, e.g. in Zierow or Boltenhagen. The famous seaside resort of Kühlungsborn or the island of Poel can also be reached in a short time - also perfect by bike or e-bike, which you can conveniently store in the hotel's lockable bike room.
