A great hotel in a beautiful location right on the Trave.

Beautiful facilities, great location, friendly staff, the breakfast is plentiful. And above all, we loved the free sauna for hotel guests. We would love to come back.

The tapas menu did not correspond to a tapas menu. Bruschetta and mozzarella tomato do not correspond to a tapas menu. Unfortunately, the calamari rings were soggy and bland.

Super relaxed atmosphere with a fantastic view of the Passat

We had a very nice stay at the hotel. Everything went perfectly.

The wellness area is a bit too small in the relaxation area. Saunas are great, relaxation area not so good.

We were very satisfied, but unfortunately we were not aware beforehand that there is no swimming pool or whirlpool in the sauna area.
Otherwise, I can only recommend the Snow Down.

The surroundings are very cramped, with many holiday apartments in blocks close to each other. Not a nice atmosphere/environment. Feels as if you are squeezed in. Almost like a ghetto.

Very nice hotel, the only issue was that too many tables were reserved for breakfast, which is inconvenient when the hotel is full.

Beautiful and bright hotel with a good location on Priwall. The rooms facing the Trave offer a fantastic view of the Passat and the maritime flair. Of course, the crowd strolls under the balcony, which can be heard during the quiet evening hours. On the third floor, a snack machine hums at the volume of a power generator, woe to those whose rooms are directly near the elevator. The rooms are spacious and bright, the highlight is the steam shower, a clear unique feature and highly recommended. The breakfast is good and is replenished promptly. The tapas in the evening are highly recommended, delicious and with a good selection. The Priwall ferry can be reached in a few minutes, and a crossing costs €2.10 per person. We are planning another stay.

We spent 4 days at the Slow Down, had a very nice room with a view of the Passat and the ferry traffic on the Trave. Simply wonderfully calming! The room including small kitchen, the great steam bath, and the balcony were all very clean and well-maintained! The breakfast including 🥂🙂 and the tapas were very good. The individual lounges in the hotel are all very cozy and tastefully decorated. The staff was consistently very friendly and accommodating!
The promenade has changed for the better due to the new large green plant containers. Everything appears a bit friendlier and more lively!
The hotel lives up to its name, we felt very comfortable and will definitely come back…🤗

Very nice hotel in a good location. Would gladly visit again. The tapas menu was expected to be very delicious 😋
Unfortunately, we only received the water and the sparkling wine in the room upon request. The welcome drink was also not offered to us. Upon inquiry on the last evening, we were served a glass of sparkling wine.
Perhaps it was because I presented the Voyager only on the day of departure. However, the lady at check-in immediately said we had booked a package and immediately offered the appointment for the tapas menu.

Upon arrival, we discovered that we could no longer access our booking via the Riisskov website and were informed (by the receptionist) that the collaboration had ended. It was incredibly unpleasant not to have been warned beforehand. Fortunately, we had printed our papers because on our online "account," our stay was marked as canceled. Poor form on your part!
There is nothing to criticize about the hotel. Nice place.

Points of interests
Travemünde
About 20 km from Lübeck city centre lies Travemünde - a former fishing village, situated right on the Baltic Sea. The place is stunningly beautiful and the big ships of the Baltic Sea pass very close by. Germany's oldest lighthouse, which today also houses a maritime museum, is located right at the mouth of the Baltic Sea. It is estimated that the original lighthouse was built as far back as the 14th century, but in 1534 it was attacked and destroyed by Danish troops. It has since been restored and today offers a magnificent view from 31 metres above sea level.
Niendorf
Timmendorfer Strand and Niendorf's surroundings are a paradise for those who like to stay outdoors in nature. Whether on horseback, by bike or on foot - the bright rape fields in spring and the golden wheat fields invite you to explore the great outdoors. On one of the excursion boats you can experience the sea right under your skin and find your own way of exploring nature. There's also a lot to discover in picturesque Niendorferhavn. Here you will find everything maritime that belongs to a holiday by the sea: Fishermen who come ashore with fresh fish early in the morning and later sell them as delicious smoked fish in their small stands and excursions with the White Fleet whereby Lübeck Bay presents itself from a whole new side.
Tigerpark Dassow
This family-owned adventure and tiger park houses one of Europe's largest tiger and lion enclosures. The park opened in 2003 and has since grown to a 5-hectare area where, in addition to the many different species of tigers and lions, visitors can also see llamas, dromedaries and alpacas, among others.
Leonorenwald
Find a car holiday in Germany at Risskov and visit the stunning area of Leonorenwald. Enjoy an active holiday where there is also the possibility to have a guided hike. Also nearby are two protected nature areas; the beautiful coastal landscape between Priwall and Barendorf, along the Harkenbäkniederung and Brooker Wald - a 51-hectare forest area, located directly on the Baltic Sea. Germany offers great opportunities for a self-drive holiday and the cheapest hotels or a weekend break in the area can be found at Risskov. Drive away on a family holiday and enjoy doing it at your own pace.
Stockelsdorf Manor
A magnificent old manor house from 1761, which has housed prominent citizens and later served as a school. Today the manor is used for cultural events such as concerts and exhibitions, while there is also a restaurant. Part of the large green area around the manor is now a beautiful park area where you can stroll and relax while enjoying your mini break in northern Germany.
Bothmer Castle
This impressive Baroque castle dates from the first half of the 18th century and is located just east of Leonorenwald in north-western Mecklenburg. The castle was built for Count Hans Caspar von Bothmer and is the largest Baroque castle in the whole of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. After an extensive renovation, between 2009 and 2015, the castle is today open to the public and houses a museum centred on the count's exciting life.
Grevesmühlener Mühle
The town of Grevesmühlen takes its name from the craft of windmilling and today the 30-metre high old Dutch windmill from 1878 stands as the town's main landmark. The mill's location on a hill has ensured its preservation through the ages. Inside, there is a gallery and a glass-blowing workshop, where you can also find out more about the fascinating history of the town and the mill.
Stadtkirche St. Nikolai
This beautiful town church in Grevesmühlen is built in a mixture of Romanesque and Gothic styles and, in its original form as a brick church, stood in the town before the town name Grevesmühlen was first recorded around 1230. Today, the church belongs to the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Grevesmühlen-Propstei-Wismar in Mecklenburg.
Hansapark
If you have children with you, there's no doubt that a trip to the largest amusement park in northern Germany, Hansapark, will be a delight. Located 30 km north of Lübeck in the town of Sierksdorf, the amusement park is a must for the little ones on a family holiday in northern Germany. Plan your visit here: http://www.hansapark.de/dk/
