The inn Gammelgården, which is open all year round, is located in a cosy and atmospheric building, about 1 km from the Högfjällshotellet. The menu includes game and dishes from northern Sweden, and the food is prepared with locally produced seasonal ingredients. Gammelgården also serves classic Swedish waffles and other delights in a cosy atmosphere.
In winter, there are plenty of opportunities to ski in Sälen. Here. you will find Högfjället ski area, located on the doorstep of Högfjällhotellet. This ski area is linked to Lindvallen and has a total of 56 slopes and 43 lifts.
Sälens Högfjällshotell is perfect for a stay with kids. You'll be accommodated in 6-person apartments, so there's room for even large families. In winter, there are great children's ski slopes, and during the winter high season there are even indoor and outdoor playgroups for children. During the ski season, the area's two mascots are also often out greeting the guests. In summer, you can try your hand at fishing and berry picking, and there are plenty of cycling and walking trails.
All apartments are approximately 56 square metres and have 2 bedrooms with 6 beds. There is a bedroom with two single beds and two wall-mounted folding beds, and a room with two bunk beds. The apartment also has a living room with kitchen, bathroom, toilet, cable TV and telephone.
