Jostedalsbreen National Park

Jostedalsbreen National Park is home to Jostedalsbreen Glacier, the largest glacier in mainland Europe, covering 487 square kilometers in western Norway. Established in 1991, the park features a breathtaking landscape of towering ice formations, deep valleys, cascading waterfalls, and lush green valleys, creating a stunning contrast between ice and vegetation.

The park offers numerous hiking and glacier trekking opportunities, with popular access points like Briksdalsbreen, Nigardsbreen, and Kjenndalsbreen, where visitors can get up close to the glacier. Tvinnefossen

Experience all that Norway's beautiful nature has to offer. Take a driving holiday in Western Norway and stop by Tvinnefossen. The impressive waterfall is located on the Tvinna River east of Hopland and Randabygd in Stryn. The waterfall flows over a ledge in the mountain, leaving room for you to take the tour below the waterfall itself. In earlier times it was also the only way that both animals and humans could get down to the fjord. It is also the only waterfall you can walk under in Europe.

The name Tvinna comes from the way the river moves through the steep landscape with waterfalls and eddies.

You can park your car at Rand School, as driving on the road is not allowed.Throughout history, everything from fruit to hazelnuts has been grown in the fertile area around Tvinnefossen. There are also lovely pastures where both sheep and horses can graze.

Geirangerfjorden
