Windmills of Greetsiel

The Greetsieler Zwillingsmühlen are a pair of iconic windmills located in the lovely village of Greetsiel, Germany. These twin mills were built in the 19th century and are an important part of the region's maritime and agricultural heritage.

Castle Museum Jever

Schloss Jever, surrounded by an idyllic English garden, is among the most beautiful architectural monuments in Northwest Germany. The Three Ports

Right in the centre of Carolinensiel is the "Alte Hafen" also known as the "Museumshafen", with the historic flat-bottomed sailing boats. A big attraction in winter is the 'floating Christmas tree', which literally makes the whole old harbour light up and sparkle. In the adjoining marina, sailing ships and motor boats idyllically dance. A walk along the dyke alongside the lock gate reveals the outer harbour. From here, fishing boats and excursion boats sail out into the North Sea and to the islands.

German Sielhafen Museum

The German Sielhafen Museum invites you on a journey back in time, to the time when cargo ships sailed from Carolinensiel and to South America. The museum gives an insight into how people lived and worked, and not least into life on the coast with the constant threat of the sea to homes and furnishings. The Sielhafenmuseum comprises a 2,500 m² exhibition area spread over three houses, each of which offers a unique insight into coastal life in the past.

National Park House Carolinensiel

Discover the Nationalparkhaus Carolinensiel, directly on the Museum Harbour (Alter Hafen). Here you will find numerous exciting exhibitions that both children and adults will find interesting. The exhibitions are of course themed under the Wadden Sea, but including it there are also plenty of interesting sub-areas such as ecology, environment, nature and biology. In addition to the exhibitions, there are also events of various kinds, such as boat trips and day excursions.
