Winter activities at Insjön

At Insjöns IP you will find a cross-country skiing track with information. A little further from Leksand you will find Granbergets ski resort with ski lifts and 5 ski slopes. Here you can also go cross-country skiing, with the possibility of some nice, long trips. At Ledkand you also have the opportunity to skate.

Tällbergsbyarnas Golf Club

Tällbergsbyarnas Golfklub is a beautiful natural golf course with 9 holes. On your way around you will pass, among other things, trickling streams and water pools, birch trees and summer flowers with wild orchids, stretching over a large varied landscape. The scenic course is varied and challenging for both novice and more experienced golfers.

Åhlén Pavilion

Go on a car holiday in Sweden and visit Malmö with Risskov. At Hjultorvet you can also visit the Åhlen Pavilion, which was built and originally exhibited at the "Baltic Exhibition" in Malmö in 1914. The architect was the well-known Ferdinand Boberg from Falun. The pavilion has been moved around and sometimes used as a playhouse for J.P. Åhlén's children until around 1920. Today you can buy old postcards and Åhl's parish history in 11 parts, Åhlén's history, Åhlén & Holm's anniversary catalogue from 1909 and many other historical publications, in the pavilion. Dalhalla

Dalhalla is a very unique outdoor arena; an impressive amphitheatre, which has been blasted in limestone and thus built directly into nature. Various concerts are held here, typically within various pop genres, as well as various theater performances.

Naturum Dalarna

Naturum Dalarna is one of Sweden's 33 nature reserves. The trademark "naturum" is owned by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and they say that "Naturum is open to everyone and is an opportunity for all ages to learn more about nature and the environment."

Formerly called Naturum Dalarna for Siljansnäs nature reserve, was formed in 1978. The nature reserve has been extended several times and is now 31.5 hectares and includes hilly forest, lush green forest and meadow.

Naturum Dalarna was reopened in 2007 in its current form. Inside the nature area there are also several exhibitions to learn more about animals and nature in the area.

Rättvik

Rättvik is a town that most would probably associate with folk costumes, knee socks and Midsummer. Here you can e.g. visit Rättvik Church, parts of which date back to the 13th century. Walk along Lake Siljan and enjoy the impressive and beautiful nature.

2047 Science Center

Visit the exciting science centre, 2047 Science Center, in Borlänge. Here, curious souls can watch films on the spherical ceiling of the the planetarium and delve into the experimental environment technical, chemical and mathematical experiences in store. The centre is a for families with children who are on holiday in Borlänge or a elsewhere in Dalarna.

Carl Larsson's Hjen Lilla Hyttnäs in Sundborn

When in Dalarna, don't miss the Swedes' most beloved artist, Carl Larsson, and his home in Sundborn. On the door when you enter it says "Welcome dear one, to Carl Larsson and his wife". Carl Larsson truly loved his home. The museum offers guided tours and as they are very popular you are advised to book well in advance. Adventure mine Tuna Hästberg
