Herdentor Mill

The iconic mill of Bremen, which has existed since 1898, is located on a rampart that secured the old Bremen. This has a special place in the hearts of the people of Bremen. In fact, there used to be 6 mills at the ramparts and this is the only one that has survived thanks to a lot of luck.

The beautiful Wildeshauser Geest Nature Park, located south of Bremen, is an ideal area for hiking, horse riding and cycling. The nature park covers 1500 square kilometres and is the largest nature reserve in Lower Saxony and one of the largest in Germany. The unique nature of this region is protected and preserved and has a well-developed and well-marked network of hiking and biking trails for visitors.
