Rørvig
The old fishing village of Rørvig is beautifully situated at the entrance to the Isefjord. Rørvig is a real holiday town, where the harbour is the natural meeting point for both locals and tourists. Here you can visit one of Odsherred's oldest buildings, the listed Lodsoldermandsgård. For centuries, pilots have been sent from here to help the shipping traffic through Isefjord and Roskilde Fjord.
The old town centre has many beautiful fishermen's and skippers' houses. It's a nice walk along the coastal path from the harbour to the old town. From the cosy harbour there is a ferry service to Hundested and North Zealand.

UNESCO Global Geopark Odsherred
The beautiful landscape of Odsherred is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and can call itself UNESCO Global Geopark Odsherred - as the first Danish geopark ever. The inclusion is primarily due to a unique glacial landscape whose geological conditions are of crucial cultural and historical importance. The impressive ice age landscape has attracted painters for 200 years, who have depicted dramatic landscapes. For the same reason, you can visit numerous galleries and art museums in the area.
The hilly glacial landscape with its many impressive views and unspoilt natural areas is also ideal for an active holiday, whether you prefer cycling or hiking.
Tisvilde
Visit the beautiful area of Tisvilde in Northwest Zealand, which offers both Denmark's 5th largest forest at Tisvilde Hegn and one of Denmark's most beautiful beaches in Tisvildeleje on the north coast, where the blue flag testifies to a beach of high environmental quality. Over the years, Tisvilde has become one of the country's most popular holiday and seaside resorts with summer cottages, cosy cafés, markets and various exciting events.
Frederiksborg Castle

The grounds include a beautiful palace park and a palace church. Since 1878, the castle grounds have been home to the National History Museum. Discover 500 years of Danish history through paintings and portraits, furniture and crafts, and kings and queens. Here you can discover a world of incredible bird species and exotic plant life. During the summer, the bird park invites you to a wealth of nature experiences for the whole family. Watch the beautiful parrot show, help feed the lories or go inside and pet the African pygmy goats, always a hit with the kids. Opened in 2003, the park is home to over 1500 birds of 250 different species, several of which are unique in this part of the world. In addition to birds, the park also has other animals such as giant tortoises, monkeys and goats. Cycling routes in Odsherred
Odsherred is a bicycle-friendly area with many marked bicycle routes, such as the Sejerø Bugt route and the Urokse trail.
If you're taking the family on a tour, the 40 km Fjords path by Isefjorden is the perfect destination: only small inclines - and always something beautiful to look at. You'll find completely flat stretches around the dammed Lammefjord.
If you prefer a varied trail, take a 30 km ride around the hills of Veddinge and Vejrhøj - even seasoned cyclists can find the low gears here!
