Norwegian Road Museum

The Norwegian Road Museum is one of Norway's largest technical industrial museums. The museum has several thousand square meters of indoor exhibitions, a large museum park and a unique over 200 meters long mountain tunnel with mountain blasting history. The museum is located near the Hunderfoss family park and is open all year round. During school holidays the museum often has special activities and events for young and old.

Hunderfossen Bob- and Kælkebahn

Just 500 metres from Hunderfossen Family Park is the Hunderfossen Toboggan and Kælkcenter, where visitors can experience full speed downhill. Try the 'wheelie' in summer, which seats four passengers and reaches speeds of up to 100 km/h. with g-forces of around 3.5. It is therefore also compulsory to wear a safety helmet and everyone receives timely instruction from authorised wheel bob drivers. The age limit is 10 if accompanied by an adult, and without an adult you must be at least 12. Hunderfossen Family Park

Hunderfossen Family Park is Norway's largest adventure land with over 300,000 visitors and over 60 attractions to offer. There is an adventure castle, Ivo Caprino's Adventure Cave, family fun, Il tempo gigante extra, to name just a few of the attractions that Hunderfossen Family Park offers. The Hunderfossentroll is 14 metres high and weighs 70 tonnes, overlooking the Gudbrandsdalen valley and the park. If your visit is planned on a hot day, remember to bring your swimsuit as there is also a small water park. Be sure to check the opening hours, if necessary ask the reception at the hotel. Lilliputian hammer

Hafjell ski area

The ski areas of Hafjell and Kvitfjell are connected by a free ski bus, and the trip takes only about 30 minutes. Together, the two ski areas form Norway's largest ski destination with over 73 km of slopes. The ski area consists of 25 slopes and there are 11 ski lifts, and you only need a ski pass, as it can be used in both places. Øyer

Sigrid Undset's home - Bjerkebæk

In 1919 Sigrid Undset moved into her new home, which she called Bjerkbæk. At first it was just a small log house, but in 1924 she bought another log house, and together they make up the innetunet. Sigrid Undset decorated her home with a stylish taste and with personal valuables and books. The two works dealing with the Middle Ages, Kristine Lavrandsatter and Olav Audunsson, were both written by Sigrid Undset while she lived at Bjerkebæk.

During the summer, Sigrid Undset's home and beautiful garden can be visited, and in fact Bjerkebæk is also within walking distance of Lillehammer town centre. There is also a small café and a museum shop at the museum and there are guided tours several times a day, which is highly recommended because you will also get the best stories from the visit.
