About the hotel

In GDR times, the Hotel Elbebrücke was the apprentice house of the ‘VEG Gewächshausanlage Vockerode’, the largest producer of greenhouse vegetables in the entire state. The current owners took over the building, renovated it and opened a hotel in 2023 with a modern design, comfortable rooms and an inviting restaurant in an industrial chic style. The classic continental breakfast buffet is complemented by fresh and healthy options. In the evening, traditional home-style recipes are interpreted in a modern way in the kitchen.

The location right in the middle of nature on the Elbe is great for relaxing the body and soul. You can do this whether you're walking or going on an extended cycle tour along the Elbe and through the meadows and forests of the Middle Elbe region, which is part of the UNESCO Elbe River Landscape Biosphere Reserve. You can also complete a section of the Elbe Cycle Route here, which runs over 1300 kilometres from northern Czechia to Cuxhaven.

The region is full of history, culture and architecture! You can reach many of the towns and cities in the area by car in no time at all. Let your journey begin in the Bauhaus town of Dessau, then continue on to Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Wörlitz and Oranienbaum. Leipzig, Dresden or Berlin are perfect for longer trips into the city.
