Friedrichstadt

Friedrichstadt looks very much like a typical Dutch canal town. That's why this romantic little town is called "Little Amsterdam". The town was built by the Dutch in 1621, where the rivers Ejderen and Treene flow together. Picturesque serrated gables and beautiful facades are reflected in the canals, and the houses are filled with carvings on doors and windows. The Dutch emblazoned the winding streets of the town, which intersect.

Husum

Enjoy a cheap mini break or maybe just a weekend stay in the small port town of Husum in northern Germany, where you can enjoy a maritime atmosphere. Walk along the city's Kulturpfad, which takes you past 32 of the city's most important historical and architectural sites. On the tour you will pass the old town hall, St. Mary's Church, Theodor Storm's birthplace and an old manor house. You will also pass several of the city's museums. Büsum

Go on a beach holiday to Büsum for a real family holiday. Büsum is a very visited town and numerous tourists come year after year to the town. Find a cheap holiday at Risskov and drive to Büsum. Not many people know that just 400 years ago the town was located on an island - in the middle of the Wadden Sea. Only towards the end of the 1500s did Büsum become landlocked as a result of natural land reclamation. From the idyllic harbour it is only a few metres to the "Grünstrand" with its many beach curves and resting zones. The red and white striped lighthouse is the landmark of the spa town of Büsum. The spa town is also known for shrimping, walks by the Wadden Sea and a grassy beach. The romantic harbour is full of life and you can enjoy the atmosphere here. Gottorp Slot

Visit Gottorp Castle with its beautiful baroque gardens and three art museums; the National Museum of Art, Cultural History and Archaeology.

The castle is located at the bottom of the river Slien and has played an important role in the many wars between the Danish kings and the Gottorp dukes.

Frederik I also ruled Denmark from Gottorp Castle.

St. Peter-Ording

Explore the village of St. Peter-Ording in North Frisia, where you'll find 12 kilometers of paradise-like sandy beach, woodlands and large dunes. The area has been inhabited since the Viking Age and is a very popular excursion destination.
