Hotel Munsch Alsace enjoys a delightful location in the heart of the Alsace vineyards. It is right at the foot of the Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg and close to the beautiful village of Ribeauville. Here you can enjoy a wonderful stay with delicious food and wine, along with pleasant walks in the countryside, historical sights and beautiful towns.
About the hotel
The hotel is located in a scenic setting in the Saint-Hippolyte area which is famous for its Pinot Noir, named 'Rouge de Saint-Hippolyte'. During your stay you can go wine tasting with the local winegrowers and explore some of the region's most beautiful villages; Ribeauville, Riquewihr and Eguisheim. The beautiful region is full of historical sights, including an impressive 15th and 16th century Gothic church, the remains of a rampart, and a 16th century fountain.
In the morning, a lovely buffet breakfast is served and enjoyed in the hotel's intimate and welcoming environment. The hotel restaurant consists of two dining rooms which together create the perfect Alsatian atmosphere. It serves both classics, such as the famous Alsatian sauerkraut, and more refined dishes, such as game dishes and filet mignon. There is also a small terrace which can be used when the weather permits. After dinner, the hotel's lounge is the perfect place for a drink and a pleasant chat.
Free parking is available at the hotel, and wireless internet access is available during your stay.

Hotel Munsch Alsace has 40 attractive and atmospheric rooms, decorated in soft colours with wooden panelling and stylish furniture. Choose from comfort single or double rooms, both with balconies. The comfort rooms have a view of the inner courtyard, while the superior and deluxe rooms have a great view of the castle and vineyard. It is also possible to add an extra bed in the double rooms.
All rooms are furnished with private bathroom, and are equipped with a hairdryer, comfortable beds, a telephone and TV.

A service beyond the ordinary, friendly and cheerful staff, the food was exceptional, and our 12-year-old grandchild, who was on the trip with us, was full of superlatives about both the staff and the meals. The only "complaint" was the lack of air conditioning in the room at night, which was due to a heatwave during our stay. A table fan in the room had a hard battle with the heat at night. A bonus was the magnificent view from the hotel, especially of the impressive Haut-Koenigsbourg castle.

We stayed in a Superior room - and it is recommended, as these are renovated and refreshed in modern colours. The interior is probably the original, but everything appears very nice and inviting. Good balcony with some shade, which is pleasant in 32 degrees C... Fine typical French breakfast with everything you need - and good 4-course menus in the evening. That we one evening thought it was a bit "heavy" with a French/German version of pork roast in 32 degrees C is just a matter of taste and preference. No one can expect that a set menu from the kitchen will always perfectly match each individual's personal style - and it must be said that the pork roast was actually really good and with a little twist, making it suitably different from the Danish style. Friendly and service-minded staff. Can be recommended without reservation.
