Here you stay in peaceful surroundings on the edge of town, surrounded by nature and within easy reach of the Wadden Sea and the many attractions of North Frisia. The hotel is an ideal base for a relaxing stay combined with exciting excursions to the coast, the islands, and charming northern German towns.
About the hotel
The hotel opened in October 2019 and offers a modern, bright, and welcoming atmosphere. The interior combines rustic charm with clean, contemporary design, creating a relaxed and homely ambiance. One of the hotel’s special features is its large orchard garden, where you can enjoy the fresh air and unwind in tranquil surroundings. The garden is furnished with colourful small activity houses, hammocks, beach chairs, a playground, and cosy corners where both children and adults can find a pleasant place to relax.
During your stay, you can enjoy the hotel’s small but inviting wellness area, which includes a sauna and a relaxation room – perfect for unwinding after a day full of experiences. There are also comfortable common areas where you can sit down with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.
Start the day with a delicious breakfast featuring high-quality regional products from the surrounding area. Later in the day, you can enjoy coffee, cake, and light dishes or snacks in the hotel’s café area – ideal for a relaxing break after exploring the North Frisian landscape.
Hotel Landhafen is perfectly located for exploring the region. From Niebüll station – only a few minutes’ drive from the hotel – direct trains run to the popular holiday island of Sylt. From the ferry port in Dagebüll, about 20 kilometres away, you can sail to the beautiful islands of Föhr and Amrum, known for their long sandy beaches, charming villages, and stunning natural scenery. The area is also part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Wadden Sea National Park, where you can experience the tides, join guided mudflat walks, or observe the unique birdlife.
On the mainland, you can visit charming towns such as Husum – known as “the grey town by the sea” – with its picturesque harbour and small streets, or take a trip to the maritime town of Flensburg, where you will find culture, shopping, and excellent restaurants. Friedrichstadt, often called the “Amsterdam of the North”, is also a popular excursion destination with its canals and historic houses.
