About the Hotel
The Hotel Kieler Yacht Club, with a rich history dating back to its foundation in 1887 as part of the Imperial Yacht Club, is a landmark in Kiel. Originally located at the Kiel Naval Academy, it moved to its current site in 1900. Rebuilt in 1926 and again in the 1950s post-World War II destruction, it transitioned to a hotel in 1954. It played a significant role during the 1972 Olympic Games, hosting royalty. In 2007, it underwent major refurbishments, now offering modern rooms and suites, and retaining its historic banqueting halls, "Kaiser’s Hall" and "Commodore’s Hall," as splendid vestiges of its storied past.

A good hotel in a beautiful location.
Lovely breakfast, super cozy hotel with sweet and helpful staff.
Super nice hotel, neat and clean, pleasant surroundings
The hotel itself is super nice and clean. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was really delicious, though the food for the restaurant was not particularly good.
Lovely stay, friendly people, and good service.
Half board cannot be recommended. Order the food yourself at the restaurant instead.
Excellent hotel, sweet staff, and good quiet location, but there were problems with parking upon arrival and the "coffee machine" was not working.
Good hotel with a nice location. It took 20 minutes to walk to the center. Nice to avoid parking fees. Good breakfast.
Very gladly again
Lovely hotel with a good location
Hotel great, breakfast great, dinner more like café style. Surroundings by the fjord cozy.
Everything's great.
