The Hotel Kieler Yacht Club, with a rich history dating back to its foundation in 1887 as part of the Imperial Yacht Club, is a landmark in Kiel. Originally located at the Kiel Naval Academy, it moved to its current site in 1900. Rebuilt in 1926 and again in the 1950s post-World War II destruction, it transitioned to a hotel in 1954.
