If you need a little extra exercise during your holiday, you can do so in the modern Vital Center, which has fitness equipment for different types of workouts. After a session in the gym, you can take a relaxing walk in the sauna.

The very popular Ozeaneum Aquarium is located not far from the Hafenresidenz and houses exhibitions of marine biology from the North Sea and the Baltic Sea as well as an aquarium. You should also take a trip to Rügen, Germany's largest island with an area of 926 km² and beautiful beaches. You may also want to stop by the Hanseatic city of Greifswald in the north-eastern corner of Germany and visit the old town Altstadt.

Stralsund Train Station is not far from the hotel and is a good way to explore if you want to leave the car behind.
