Okay hotel which is well placed for people traveling north or south. The bedrooms in the basement are lacking light. Food was tasty and the personnel was very nice.

The hotel has a great location, easily accessible. The food was wonderful! The staff was skilled and service-minded. However, we missed being able to have some coffee in the afternoon.

We found the staff nice, the food good, the room great. The hotel is located on the highway, no car noise. The rooms were very quiet at the back. We were even allowed to play Skip Bo in the dining room until 9 p.m. The hotel is well located on the Baltic Sea, not far from Heiligenhafen, Fehmarn, Dahme, and Kellenhusen. Would gladly return.

Our rooms on the second floor were spacious and clean. The breakfast was very good, and the dinner that was included was what you would call "home cooking," but it was good and plentiful. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The Baltic Sea is about a 10-minute drive away (Heiligenhafen). Although the hotel is located directly at the motorway exit, it was very quiet there.

Flügger lighthouse
Scattered across the German island of Fehmarn are five lighthouses amidst the beautiful scenery. Of these five, the Flügger lighthouse (Leuchtturm Flügge auf Fehmarn) is the only one open to visitors. The tower is surrounded by the Krummsteert nature reserve on the south-western tip of the island and rises 37 metres above the landscape. The view from here is nothing short of spectacular and undoubtedly worth the 162 steps to the top.
Heiligenhafen
Another protected nature area can be found a few kilometres inland, in Heiligenhafen, which is a lovely destination for a self-drive holiday for nature lovers. The Graswarder is part of the headland that forms the northern end of the town. Here you can also enjoy the rich birdlife and hike in the coastal nature. At the western end of Heiligenhafen's headland, on the Steinwarder Promenade, you can enjoy the sight of the beautiful cliffs and have a cold refreshment in a café.
Adventure Jungle Land (Eventyrsland)
In an area of more than 6,000 m², explorers of all ages can experience an unforgettable jungle adventure. There are snakes, lizards, turtles and many more exotic animals. The newest attraction is Europe's largest balloon! Dive into the "ocean" with 300,000 coloured balls. The adventure land offers countless attractions such as mazes, gold burials in El Dorado, an interactive pirate cinema and also a climbing reptory.
Sea center Fehmarn
Exciting experiences await in the 3,000 m² aquarium located on Fehmarn. Here you will find more than 4 million liters of seawater with tropical coral fish, sharks, rays and much more. Take a trip through the underwater tunnel with both rays and sharks swimming right over your head!
Fehmarnbelt
Find child-friendly hotels for your self-drive holiday at Risskov and visit the Fehmarn on a beach holiday south to Germany. Femern is 185 km² in size and is the epitome of a German holiday island. With a stay here you get 78 km of coastline, beautiful cliffs, plenty of stunning natural beaches and idyllic fields and lakes. The possibilities are endless, including swimming, surfing, horse riding, diving, fishing, golf and mini golf.
Especially in the summer months, it's amazing to see large parts of the island transformed into a yellow explosion of rapeseed fields, which you can walk through while enjoying the fresh sea air.
Find your favourite beach on the 78 km long coast of the Fehmarnbelt. In many places, the water only gets gradually deeper, making it a bathing paradise for little ones. Plan your summer, autumn or winter holiday with Risskov and find cheap hotels for the whole family for your trip.
Submarine Museum Fehmarn
Discover the legendary and unique U-11 submarine at the U-Boot Museum Fehmarn. Here you have a unique opportunity to enter and see the submarine from the inside and get an insight into the life of a crew member when the submarine was in operation during the Cold War. In addition to the U-11, the museum also offers a fascinating exhibition on the Cold War and the post-war period.
Hohwacht
Between Kiel and Lübeck in the untouched nature of the Baltic Sea lies Hohwacht surrounded by old beech forests, 127 km south of the Danish border. Hohwacht was once a small fishing village and although much has happened since, the town has still retained its character. This is the ideal place for a mini break or beach holiday with plenty of relaxation.
Hohwacht is a real seaside resort and you only have to walk a few minutes to reach the long promenade along the white sandy beach. The bright beach is more than 2 km long and here the whole family can enjoy lovely hours. The salt water has a lovely effect on body and soul and the beach is suitable for families with children. In summer there are lifeguards on the beach. There are also countless opportunities for various water sports activities. On the beach you will also find the traditional North German beach chairs.
Hansapark
If you have children with you, there's no doubt that a trip to the largest amusement park in northern Germany, Hansapark, will be a delight. Located 30 km north of Lübeck in the town of Sierksdorf, the amusement park is a must for the little ones on a family holiday in northern Germany. Plan your visit here: http://www.hansapark.de/dk/
Kiel
Kiel has plenty to offer all year round. In summer, the city and harbour are really lively and there are great opportunities for swimming. In winter, the city hosts one of northern Germany's most popular Christmas markets, transforming the town square into a fairytale Christmas village. And at other times of the year, it's a great place for sightseeing, with everything from the 2. World War II history to the beautiful botanical gardens. Located on the Kielerfjord, Germany's largest ferry port is in Kiel, where maritime atmosphere and city life combine beautifully. Kiel is also one of the most popular shopping cities on the Baltic Sea with plenty of exciting boutiques. Take a stroll through the Old Town, where you can see St Nicholas' Church on Alter Markt with Ernst Barlach's figure of the Geistkämpfer. It's also worth visiting the Maritime Museum, housed in an old fish hall, and seeing the historic ships in the Museum Harbour.
