Schömberg-Langenbrand

Many marked hiking trails start in Schömberg-Langenbrand or right in the area. Here you can set out on more than 300 km of hiking trails, both guided and unguided. Depending on the season, you can also go on spice hikes or mushroom hikes.

The quiet and relaxing resort offers you abundant nature and a fantastic flora and fauna in the large forests. For nature lovers there are nature trails with interesting signs with facts and references.

The eastern tower of the old village church was built in the 11th-12th century and is a protected part of the church. The church itself has well-preserved paintings from the Middle Ages.

Sindelfingen

Sindelfingen is an old romantic town with many cosy houses and sights. The town has a typical medieval core with several half-timbered houses. Among the main sights in the old town you will find St. Martin's church from the 11th century, the beautiful old town hall as well as the Market fountain and the Friendship fountain. The Old Town Hall dates back to 1478 and you can find a city museum here today. Next door is the Salt House dating from 1592.

The economy of the city is mainly based on the automotive industry as the rest of the area near Stuttgart and especially the factory Daimler AG and the offices of Smart characterize the city. In medieval times there was a weaving mill in the town and today the fashion industry is still strong here, as the many fashion companies testify.

The city is filled with wonderful hours for the whole family. The city has a large number of shops and cosy markets where you can stroll around and enjoy the atmosphere. When you need a break, there are many good restaurants, atmospheric inns and local beer gardens. You'll find something for everyone, from local to international cuisine.

Stuttgart

With almost 600,000 inhabitants, Stuttgart is an exciting metropolitan experience. Stroll past the castle square and see the castle, built by the Duke of Württemberg as the last great residential castle. In the old castle you can now visit the Württemberg Land Museum, which tells the history of the country and the region.

Königstrasse is a more than 1-kilometre-long shopping street where you can browse countless fashion boutiques, speciality shops, malls, cafés and restaurants. Complete your day with a real culinary experience in one of Stuttgart's many restaurants.

It's great to walk through the streets of Stuttgart and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Many sights are within walking distance and you can visit the cosy squares and all the beautiful castles in a short time. Stuttgart Castle Square is one of the best places to start exploring Stuttgart. The Palace Square, with Kaiser Wilhelm's Jubilee Column, fountains and beautiful lawns, is in the heart of the city. This is the main square in Stuttgart and unites the beautiful palace park and the popular shopping street, Königstrasse. The highlight of the royal square is the U-shaped Neues Schloss, the last Baroque castle to be built in Germany.

Standing in the bustling centre of Stuttgart, the Neues Schloss is certainly the main attraction. Not far from the Old Palace, it was almost completely destroyed during World War II. World War II, during a bombing raid on Stuttgart. The castle has housed both kings and royalty, but since 1968 (after reconstruction) it has been used by the Ministry of State. Located in the centre of Stuttgart, the castle is well worth a visit for its beautiful architecture and fascinating history.

The most popular attraction in Stuttgart is Wilhelma, one of the best zoos and botanical gardens in Europe. If you love going to the zoo, Wilhelma is a must. Compared to the whole world, this zoo has one of the largest populations of different animal species.

Black Forest

The Romans gave the Black Forest its name: "Silva Nigra" - the black forest and the Black Forest is today one of the most romantic destinations in Germany. There are many opportunities for scenic excursions. Try, for example, "Die Schwarzwald Panoramastrasse". This stretch is 70 km long and offers countless beautiful viewpoints. In clear weather, it's actually possible to see the Alps! You can start the tour in Waldkirch (near Freiburg) and continue along steep mountain roads to St Peter's Monastery. Then on to the mountain Kandel to St. Märgen with the famous monastery church. A tour like Schwarzwald-Tälerstrasse is a beautiful romantic road in the northern Black Forest.

Leonberg

Go on a driving holiday in Germany and decide where to go and at what speed. Find a cheap hotel at Risskov and get away for a weekend for two or for the whole family. Head to Leonberg, one of the oldest towns in Baden-Württemberg, where history meets modern facilities. In town, visit Leonberg Palace, which was built in 1565. The palace is particularly famous for having been the residence of the German poet Friedrich Schiller's mother for several years.

You should also visit the Renaissance Pomeranzgarten, which was laid out in 1609 and is one of Germany's unique attractions. Located near Leonberg Palace, the garden was designed by the state's renowned architect Heinrich Schickhardt.

The town's idyllic location among green forests offers great opportunities for hiking and cycling in the beautiful countryside. The highlight of the town's activity calendar is the traditional horse market, which for 300 years has taken place on the second Tuesday in February. Sensapolis

Schauwerk Museum

SCHAUWERK Sindelfingen is an exceptional art museum in Sindelfingen, Germany, offering an immersive contemporary art experience in the spacious ambience of a former industrial hall. Since its opening in June 2010, the museum has become a prominent destination for contemporary art in Southern Germany. Enjoy the 25-day Christmas atmosphere in Baden-Württemberg's beautiful state capital, Stuttgart.
