About the hotel
Inside, you’ll find warm, welcoming spaces: a light and inviting breakfast room, a terrace that looks out over the surrounding peaks and a pleasant lounge where you can unwind with a drink or plan the next day’s adventure. Mornings begin with a generous breakfast buffet, and in the evenings the restaurant serves simple but hearty Austrian meals. Zillertal Road
The popular main road Zillertal Straße is one of the most beautiful alpine roads in Austria with a total length of 48 km. The road offers all visitors a wonderful drive up to an altitude of 2,020 metres by car, bus or even by bike - if your legs can handle it. The route offers fantastic panoramic views of the Zillertal Alps and is also the starting point for many mountain tours.
Spieljochbahn
The Spieljochbahn is the way up into the mountains! In winter, this is where you go to ski or snowboard. In summer, there's a host of other adventures in store. Here you can climb, hike, barefoot, ride monster scooters down the mountain, try the cable car, be a miner for a day or just enjoy nature.
Tratzberg Castle
Tratzberg Castle or Schloss Tratzberg is located in the town of Jenbach, where in the 13th century it served as a stronghold on the border with the then independent state of Bavaria.
The castle has a long history, but today it is very well preserved and is recognised as one of the most important Austrian cultural monuments.
Silver mine
Discover an old-fashioned mine and how copper and silver were mined 500 years ago. Back then, Tyrol became one of Europe's richest regions, as the town of Schwaz accounted for 85% of the world's silver production. The mine is called the mother of all mountain mines and you can take the mine carriage 800 metres down into the mountain and feel the special atmosphere.
AirRofan
AirRofan is the place to go if you want to experience the great outdoors in a different way, and if you need an adrenaline rush.
AirRofan is a sky-glider, gliding over 200 metres through the air from the Gschöllkopf mountain at 80 kilometres per hour. From the ride there is a fantastic view over the lake Achensee. If you prefer not to go on the flight, there is the Adlerhost lookout.
Reintaler See
Visit the swimming lake, Reintaler See, where you can go for a swim or just enjoy the stunning surroundings. There are restaurants and cafés around the lake.
Crimson waterfalls
Krimml Waterfalls are the tallest in Austria, plunging a total of 380 meters in three dramatic tiers. Set in the heart of Hohe Tauern National Park, the falls are easily accessible via a well-maintained path with several viewing platforms offering impressive photo stops. Families can also visit the nearby “Water Worlds” exhibition, which combines fun and education about the power of water.
Wildschönau open-air bath
When you're on summer holiday in Austria and the sun is shining over the mountain peaks, take a trip to the Wildschönau open-air baths for a refreshing dip under the open sky. As well as outdoor pools, you'll also find sun loungers and a playground on site. There are more than 1000 m2 of water surface divided into several swimming pools and there is both a seesaw and a slide. For the little ones, there is a children's pool with a pink elephant and a playground with a sandpit, trampoline, climbing tower and suspension bridge. Enjoy a light lunch or refreshment in the small on-site café, which sells salads, snacks, ice cream and drinks.
