Frisbee golf is played like regular golf, but the main difference is that instead of golf clubs and golf balls, you use frisbees. As with regular golf, the object of frisbee golf is to hit the basket using the fewest possible shots. This is an activity that both children and adults can take part in. The family-friendly ski resort Skeikampen offers a large number of ski slopes in all levels. Skeikampen has a children's area with lifts, slopes and an ice rink. There are altitude differences of 800 to 1123 metres and 18-35% gradient. There are 11 ski lifts divided into: an 8-seater lift, a 4-seater lift and 9 anchor and platter lifts. There are 2 terrain parks in the area. The longest descent is 2 km. The season starts around 16/11 and ends around 21/04. It is possible to buy ski passes in the area and rent ski equipment. In summer, the area around Skeikampen offers ideal opportunities for golf, tennis and hiking.

In winter, canoeing is a popular activity in Gålå. The canoe trips give you a cosy and atmospheric experience. You sit comfortably in the canoe with torches, under nice warm reindeer skins. The beautiful horses love to take you on a tour of the beautiful winter landscape in Gålå. Dog sledding is another very exciting and interesting activity. Not many people have tried dog sledding before. The dogs pull the sledge in 6 or 8 buckets and you can either sit in the sledge or try to drive yourself. Peer Gynt's open-air scene

By the lake, Gålåvatnet, between forests and steep mountains in the Gudbrandsdalen valley, you can experience Norway's most famous legends and folktales in a spectacular outdoor theatre. Since 1989, thousands of visitors have flocked to Gålåvatnet to experience the performance of Henrik Ibsen's drama about the universe of the historical Peer. With nature as the amphitheatre and Gålåvatn as the backdrop, few leave Gålå without feeling a kinship with Peer. The dramatic play "Peer Gynt" is performed in theatres all over the world. The inspiration for the play by Henrik Ibsen comes from Gålå. During the Peer Gynt conference in Gudbrandsdalen, Henrik Ibsen's "Peer Gynt" is performed at Gålå every August.

Gålå Alpine Centre

Gålå Alpincenter is located in the heart of Guldbrandsdalen, north of Lillehammer. Here you will find an excellent combination of skiing facilities for alpine skiing as well as cross-country skiing and tobogganing for people of all ages. Gålå Alpincenter is extremely family and child friendly and is a great choice for a ski holiday in Norway for the whole family.

There are several good ski school offers on site, tailored to the different age groups. For children, there is the Teddy Bear Club for children under 6, the Knerten Skiklubb for children between 6 and 10 and the Junior Skiklubb for children between 11 and 16. For youngsters and adults, there are 3-day ski courses for alpine, snowboard and cross-country skiing, as well as private lessons.

Located close to Jotunheimen National Park, the resort covers a huge area with a total of 15 slopes with 8 lifts and a beautiful hiking area with more than 230 km of trails.

The ski area reaches between 780 and 1150 metres and is spread over two main mountains, Blåbærfjell and Valsfjell, both of which vary widely in difficulty. Blåbærfjell offers nice and child-friendly green runs, as well as a challenging red run, while Valsfjell has a green and a red run, as well as a black run for the very skilled.

The centre has a wide range of equipment available for hire, with everything from skis, poles and boots to snowboards and helmets.
