Eikerapen Gjestegard is located inmidst nature between mountains and lakes and offers its guests a unique stay. The hotel was built in 2017 and has everything you need for a comfortable stay and a wonderful holiday. At Eikerapen Gjestegard, you will feel part of the family and you will feel right at home in this charming hotel, which also boasts a bit of history, as the building actually dates back to the 17th century. From Eikerapen Gjestegard, it is only an hour's drive to central areas of southern Norway.
About the hotel
The new hotel opened in 2017 and is set amidst some of the most beautiful scenery in Southern Norway. The hotel is actually built in a family farm from the 17th century, and the new hotel has therefore chosen to keep the 'old living room' to maintain the historical tradition. The hotel has both a bar and restaurant, Thora Amalies Restaurant, which also has a lovely view. The kitchen specialises in Norwegian cuisine as well as local dishes. In the basement, you will find the hotel's bar, Dyrevatn, where nature has become part of the decoration. Snacks and refreshments can be ordered here.
The hotel also has an indoor lift and a lovely outdoor terrace with beautiful views. There is also free WiFi, good parking and a playground for the little ones.
Eikerapen Gjestegard offers activities all year round, with hiking in the mountain landscape, wonderful bathing opportunities, alpine hills at the 'Eikerapen Alpinsenter' and good opportunities for sport fishing, especially trout, when the season comes. Horse riding is also available at the hotel for an additional charge.

This is one of the best accommodations we've been to. Nice place, friendly staff, and good food. The beds were excellent. We were lucky enough to get our room upgraded. It was a great pleasure for us. If there was anything I missed, it was a refrigerator in the room. But it didn't matter that it wasn't there. We will definitely go back there again next year. We had three great days in brilliant weather. We took the lift up and followed nice trails in mountain terrain. Here it was more open and had better skiing conditions than we had expected. At the hotel, we were strangely enough the only overnight guests. We received excellent service and delicious and exquisite food. Extra kudos to the chef!
