The new hotel opened in 2017 and is set amidst some of the most beautiful scenery in Southern Norway. The hotel is actually built in a family farm from the 17th century, and the new hotel has therefore chosen to keep the 'old living room' to maintain the historical tradition. The hotel has both a bar and restaurant, Thora Amalies Restaurant, which also has a lovely view. The kitchen specialises in Norwegian cuisine as well as local dishes. In the basement, you will find the hotel's bar, Dyrevatn, where nature has become part of the decoration. Snacks and refreshments can be ordered here.
The hotel also has an indoor lift and a lovely outdoor terrace with beautiful views. There is also free WiFi, good parking and a playground for the little ones.
Eikerapen Gjestegard offers activities all year round, with hiking in the mountain landscape, wonderful bathing opportunities, alpine hills at the 'Eikerapen Alpinsenter' and good opportunities for sport fishing, especially trout, when the season comes.
