Maribo Cathedral

Go on a cheap car holiday in Denmark and visit Maribo Cathedral, originally a Birgitine monastery church donated to the Grimstrup estate by Queen Margrethe I. The church was built during the 1400s, but didn't actually become a cathedral until 1803. Inside the church you can see Leonora Christine's grave, who lived in the old monastery south of the church.

Dodekalitten

On the northern coast of Lolland at Kragenæs, an exciting artistic project is under construction. Sculptor Thomas Kadziola and composer Gunner Møller Pedersen will create a magnificent monument, consisting of 12 large stone figures of granite, which standing in a circle, daily electroacoustic music and song will flow out. This through a hidden loudspeaker system built into the huge stone figures. When this interesting monument is completed, you will have a very special experience when you stand in the middle of the circle. Work is still in progress, but some of the figures have already been set up and are already attracting many interested people.

Fuglsang Art Museum

Fuglsang Art Museum is housed in a beautiful new building from 2008. The museum houses Danish painting, sculpture and art on paper from around 1780-1980, and also houses collections of the most important artists and movements in Danish art history - including Jens Juel, the Skagen painters and the Funen artists. In addition to the collections, the museum has 2-3 special exhibitions a year.

The Medieval Centre

In the years up to 2016 Guldborgsund and The Botanical Garden underwent a major transformation as to renovation and establishment of completely new facilities. The park attaches great importance to the animal's opportunity to unfold their natural behavior while at the same time assuring that the guests can come up close to the animals. 

Denmark's Tractor Museum

Discover more than 200 old tractors and engines at the Danish Tractor Museum in Eskilstrup on Falster. The museum was founded in 1988 and is housed in an old warehouse building from 1918. Today the museum houses an almost complete collection of the Danish Bukh tractor with special editions and prototypes. You will also find a fantastic steam-powered tractor machine from 1901. The Danish Tractor Museum regularly has various special exhibitions. In 2011, for example, there was a special exhibition on the theme of rare tractors.

Femø

The small island of Femø is located in the Småland waters north of Lolland, but belongs to the municipality of Lolland. The two largest towns are Nørreby and Sønderby. From the west side of the island it is possible to see the pylons of the Storebælt bridge, which is about 50 km away, and from the northern tip of the island it is possible to see the old Storstrøms bridge, which is about 30 km away.

Femø offers everything that is good for the soul and the body. Peace and quiet, but most importantly the opportunity to recharge your batteries. There are plenty of opportunities to explore the island by bike and there are lovely beaches with good swimming opportunities. There is also fishing, paddle boarding and surfing.
