Stuttgart

With almost 600,000 inhabitants, Stuttgart is an exciting metropolitan experience. Standing in the bustling centre of Stuttgart, the Neues Schloss is certainly the main attraction. Not far from the Old Palace, it was almost completely destroyed during World War II. World War II, during a bombing raid on Stuttgart. The castle has housed both kings and royalty, but since 1968 (after reconstruction) it has been used by the Ministry of State. Located in the centre of Stuttgart, the castle is well worth a visit for its beautiful architecture and fascinating history.

The most popular attraction in Stuttgart is Wilhelma, one of the best zoos and botanical gardens in Europe. If you love going to the zoo, Wilhelma is a must. Compared to the whole world, this zoo has one of the largest populations of different animal species.

Stuttgart Wine Trail

The area around Stuttgart is characterised by the many vineyards and it is obvious to take a walk on the Stuttgarter Weinwanderweg. Here you will find a fine network of hiking trails that move between the area's small wine villages. Here you can taste the area's fruity Trollinger as well as the citrusy Riesling, while exchanging a few words with the locals.

Schauwerk Museum

SCHAUWERK Sindelfingen is an exceptional art museum in Sindelfingen, Germany, offering an immersive contemporary art experience in the spacious ambience of a former industrial hall. Since its opening in June 2010, the museum has become a prominent destination for contemporary art in Southern Germany. Sensapolis

If you're bringing children to Sindelfingen, this is the place for a day of speed and fun! Sensapolis is an indoor park that is a cross between an amusement park, a large playground and a science centre where you also learn something!

The Christmas market in Stuttgart is not only one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Europe, it is also one of the oldest. The market is first mentioned in official sources in 1692, but it is believed to have had roots even further back in time. And the stalls still today offer a wide range of traditional flea market goods, but the variety of the range in the 300 or so stalls has over time reached a different level than you would probably have experienced just 100 years ago. You'll find a wide range of wooden toys, decorations and wreaths, crafts, jewellery, sweets and culinary delicacies from around the world.
