Rättvik

Rättvik is a town that most would probably associate with folk costumes, knee socks and Midsummer. Here you can e.g. visit Rättvik Church, parts of which date back to the 13th century. Walk along Lake Siljan and enjoy the impressive and beautiful nature.

Dalhalla

Dalhalla is a very unique outdoor arena; an impressive amphitheatre, which has been blasted in limestone and thus built directly into nature. Various concerts are held here, typically within various pop genres, as well as various theater performances.

Åhlén Pavilion

Go on a car holiday in Sweden and visit Malmö with Risskov. At Hjultorvet you can also visit the Åhlen Pavilion, which was built and originally exhibited at the "Baltic Exhibition" in Malmö in 1914. The architect was the well-known Ferdinand Boberg from Falun. The pavilion has been moved around and sometimes used as a playhouse for J.P. Åhlén's children until around 1920. Today you can buy old postcards and Åhl's parish history in 11 parts, Åhlén's history, Åhlén & Holm's anniversary catalogue from 1909 and many other historical publications, in the pavilion. Winter activities at Insjön

At Insjöns IP you will find a cross-country skiing track with information. A little further from Leksand you will find Granbergets ski resort with ski lifts and 5 ski slopes. Here you can also go cross-country skiing, with the possibility of some nice, long trips. At Ledkand you also have the opportunity to skate.

Mora

The Dalarna region has an incredibly rich history and unique nature. Visit Mora, situated in the nearshore between Lake Orsa and the incredibly beautiful Lake Siljan. The town is known for its production of knives and watches, the beautiful Dala horses and, not least, the world-famous artist Anders Zorn. Visit Zorngården, where Zorn lived, and the museum next door, where you can see some of his works of art.

Carl Larsson's Hjen Lilla Hyttnäs in Sundborn

When in Dalarna, don't miss the Swedes' most beloved artist, Carl Larsson, and his home in Sundborn. On the door when you enter it says "Welcome dear one, to Carl Larsson and his wife". Carl Larsson truly loved his home. The museum offers guided tours and as they are very popular you are advised to book well in advance. On the way you can also visit the wooden village of Falu its tombs and passages from the old copper excavations.

Tällberg

Tällberg is a beautiful town located on the hill down to Siljan. Tällberg is a popular holiday resort and in the community there are a total of eight hotels and guesthouses, and each year they have about a quarter of a million visitors. Originally a small town dating back to the Middle Ages, the community developed into a popular tourist destination from the early 1900s.

Tällberg offers several beautiful hiking trails in different levels of difficulty. Choose the red trail if you want a longer 7 km walk that takes you around the whole village. There are also several longer trails along the beach and also options for those who want to walk in hilly terrain. In winter there is a short and a longer cross-country ski trail.

For those who want a real challenge, there is the possibility to participate in Tällberg's own half marathon and triathlon.
